If you’d like to learn paper marbling, come along to a workshop at Smithery where I will introduce you to you how to set up your marbling “bath” and prepare paper with an Alum mordant solution, then show you a how to gently drop marbling inks onto the surface of the thickened water and how to transfer it to paper by dipping it in.

You will learn a few tips and tricks to get successful patterns and, most importantly of all, you’ll have fun making lots of wonderful pieces of art. In this 2 hour workshop, you’ll be creating unique, beautiful and colourful marbled papers and a set of cards and envelopes. Marbled paper is ideal for decorating notebook covers with, and we have a workshop for that! It’s on the same day, following on from this one.

Remember to wear comfortable old clothes, covered shoes and bring along a smock or apron, and your imagination!

This workshop will start at 10am and go till 12, refreshments are provided, and all our class sizes are small which is better for you, but means you have to get in quick to book🙂
